Mitsubishi Dingo

Innovatively Compact

In answer to the ever-growing market demand for family-oriented utility vehicles, in 1998 Mitsubishi announced the introduction of the Mirage Dingo, the first in Mitsubishi's new SUW (Smart Utility Wagon). Designed to transport passengers of all ages in comfort, the interior features an original H-walk layout which allows for unrestricted movement throughout the cabin. The rear seats are mounted on slides to allow rear passengers to adjust their seats for total comfort. The rear seatbacks can be folded to form a flat rear surface without removing the head restraints. These features allow for a number of seating arrangements to meet day-to-day passenger and luggage requirements. The flat interior deck, coupled with the tall-boy styling with large door openings, offers easy and natural entry and exit. The tailgate with the bottom edge set low facilitates easy access to the rear interior. This stylish SUW vehicle is powered by the environmentally friendly 4G15 GDI engine, tuned for improved low-end torque and strain-free performance, and incorporates Mitsubishi's own INVECS-II, 4-speed automatic transmission for smooth transfer of power. To further enhance safety for the passengers, the Mirage Dingo employs Mitsubishi's safety body and offers SRS airbags for both driver and front passenger, anti-lock brake system, rear seatbelts that are designed to secure safety seats for small children, etc. With its crisp exterior good looks and performance features, the Mirage Dingo SUW is in a class of its own.
