L’Avenir community a priority during Covid-19 lockdown

L’Avenir, supported by Mitsubishi Motors SA and Sanzaar, has partnered with Pebbles Project to ensure that our people are safe, healthy and nourished during this uncertain time. The L’Avenir farm worker community is receiving special meal parcels during the South African Covid-19 lockdown. Furthermore, the families still have access to proper health services through Pebbles Project’s mobile clinics.

“The food parcels are delivered by Mitsubishi Motors SA to the families at L’Avenir, ensuring that 56 adults and children receive nutritious meals” explained Nic Campbell General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors SA.

During the Covid-19 lockdown the L’Avenir Cellardoor and Country Lodge had to suspend business. These facilities play a key role in the sustainability of L’Avenir Wine Estate and its community. “L’Avenir means ‘The Future’ in French and the sustainability of the community – with a special focus on the next generation – priority,” shared International Referee and L’Avenir Mitsubishi Motors SA Ambassador, Jaco Peyper.

The food parcels cost R150/ £6 / €7/ $8 / and will feed a family of 4 with 2 meals a day for 7 days.
